You can reverse course. Say to the other person, “Let’s begin again.” Move to a center position by saying, “Why don’t we compromise?” Dampen emotionalism by admitting, “I was wrong, I apologize, let’s start over.” With the promotion of the right language and the subordination of ego, you can turn back time.
