Alter your routine. We fall into unnoticed “ruts” that include everything from out phone habits to our dining, and from our client interactions to our family relationships. Build your comfort levels in other ways: by dining out when you usually dine in, by listening rather than talking, by calling first rather than waiting for the call. Demonstrate that you can be effective without reliance on habit.
Mindset: it’s one thing to be comfortable, it’s another to be obliviously in a rut.
